Webcam Video Clips

 

This is a series of short video clips recorded at various times on the webcams and on a digital camera. The clips use Flash® technology, so certain devices manufactured by Apple Computer and some other companies, that are not Flash enabled, will not be able to view the video clips below. Please use the links in the column to the right instead to view the clips.

A brief description of each video clip's content is provided on the right.

The software used for the video player above is Coffeecup Web Video Player from Coffeecup Software.

The individual video clips are created using Windows Movie Maker software.

Conversion of the clips to a format usable by Apple devices is accomplished with Xilisoft Video Converter software.

 

Descriptions of Video Clips

The Coast Guard clip shows the 21 foot rigid hull inflatable boat from the U.S. Coast Guard Tawas Station leaving the East Tawas State Dock Harbor. The people on the dock are fishing for Whitefish. Click HERE for an Apple version.

The Veterans Flag clip shows the 30' by 60' American Flag on a 141' flagpole located in Brugger's Plaza in Tawas City, Michigan. The flag is dedicated to veterans of the U.S. armed forces. The Trumpeter Swans clip shows a group of Trumpeter Swans in the harbor just as the ice is breaking up in the Spring. Click HERE for an Apple version.

The Feeding Swan clip is a Trumpeter Swan feeding in Tawas Bay in the morning. Click HERE for an Apple version.

The Boat Leaving Harbor clip shows a large boat leaving the East Tawas Harbor. Click HERE for an Apple version.

The Freighter Buffalo clip shows the American Steamship Company 634' freighter Buffalo backing in at National Gypsum's Port Gypsum in Alabaster Township. Click HERE for an Apple version.

The Polar Bear Swim clip at Perchville 2007 shows 5 swimmers- temperature was 10° and the wind chill was -5°. Click HERE for an Apple version.
