The almanac data for Tawas is provided by the Gaylord, Michigan National Weather Service office for North Central Lower Michigan.

Data for Tawas is collected at the Sewer Treatment Plant which is located in East Tawas approximately ½ mile from Tawas Bay and approximately 1¼ miles from the Tawas Bay Weather Station.

Weather readings are taken each morning  between 8:00 am and 8:30 am. Almanac data dates from 1890 to the present date.
